Last sunday I was out on a hike in Smitingen, Härnösand.

I have the big joy to explore two big caves.  In the reserve there is total five caves. Four of them are located on the left and one to the right.

The cave have been created over the last 1000 year by the waves, really fascinating over the power of the waves.

Wonderful trail around Klubbsjön

Leave the sand beach and go for a hike around Klubbsjön. Klubbsjön is a little lake with two small islands. From the lake the trail gets stepper up on Klubberget. Love the deep wild old forest around the lake, is truly a ferry tale forest with moss and fallen trees.

Great view from Klubberget

From Klubberget you have a great view over the High Coast, you hike through crooked and sparse pines and boulders. There is some climbing before you get to the caves and pretty much difference in altitude but it’s worth it for sure. In difficult passages there are ropes, small wooden bridges or ladders. The biggest cave is located at the lighthouse.

Narrow passage on my way to the first cave.

And a little about photo technology

There is a bit tricky to capture the caves without burn out the highlights. The camera can’t capture the big dynamic range as good as a human eye. There for I have taken two images for the second cave, one that I expose for the highlights and one that I expose for the shadows in the cave and then put all together in a HDR image in Lightroom. What do you think about that?

Thanks for reading!

This is my first post in English, what do you think about post in English?
Sorry if my English sometimes is a little pour. But I will do my best. I highly recommend a visit in the nature reserve, but wear good boots and be careful not to slip on wet rocks.

Have a nice hike!
